Threadless!

I've been over at Threadless for a while now trying to create a few designs for printing on shirts.  I have a bunch of ideas that I'm throwing around and currently perfecting, but there are two ideas in particular that are finished and ready to be printed.

I call this one "Wardrobe Malfunction."  I submitted it a few days ago and it's actually up for voting right now.

This little beauty is "History as I Know It."  I just submitted it today, so it won't be available to vote for until it has gone through the approval process.  Typically that takes a day or two.

Here are links to my two designs, where you can view better photos of them and vote. Be sure to vote and comment, I want them on shirts!

PREDATOR/PREY

I completely forgot that I made this last week.  Don't ask me why, it just came to me.

I would love to wear this on a t shirt.  Unfortunately, most t shirt sites charge about $20 for a custom print, and with shipping the total usually comes close to thirty bucks.  That's too high a price for something as stupid as this.  If I could get this on a shirt for around $15, I totally would.

Borderlands

Here's a little something I just finished yesterday.  I'm pretty excited about it, it's a new style that I've never tried before.

It's the character Lilith from the video game Borderlands.  I've always loved the art style of the game, and now that I've started painting it was the perfect excuse to have something from the game hanging on my wall.  Took about thirty hours over four days to complete.

It's Good to be on Fire

I actually did this one a week or two ago, slow to uploading it on blogger.

These flat paintings are a lot of fun to do.  I think I'll do more of them and try to sell them on Etsy.

The Love of Your Life

I want to start painting flat, graphic images again.  They're incredibly fun to do, I love how such simplistic shapes and colors can convey so much.  I thought I'd warm up with the simplest design I could think of.  I guess I just have a thing for hearts and skulls.

I was thinking of putting this one up for sale on Etsy, but I'm unsure of what to charge for it. I've never priced my own work before.  I want to avoid charging an inflated price, but at the same time I'd like to squeeze every cent I can out of it.  What do you think?

she would be mass destruction

Here is the image I promised last post.  I made it into a pretty sweet wallpaper for my laptop.

It's looking really nice as my background, but it doesn't look right to me as an image.  I messed around with it a little in Photoshop to change it to a vertical orientation, which I think suits it better.

I also played with the textures a little more because the background of the wallpaper looked a little too simple.

The textures are by him and her.  They both have some great stock.

What do you think?  Which one looks better?

Illustrator practice

Here is some digital art I've done. It's mostly me using the mouse to mess around with the pen tool in Illustrator. But now that I have a pen tablet I've been practicing my digital drawing. I'm working on something right now that I'll post soon, it's turning out nicely.
